VeriSign is a service that allows you to put your company’s unique identity at the top of your website. It also gives visitors peace of mind while on your website.

Depending on the type of website you have, you will most likely want to use VeriSign SSL (for e-commerce sites) or VeriSign SSL Certificate (for a directory site). For most types of websites, you will probably be able to use either one.

Step 1: Go to your registrar and ask them to add a new web site to your existing domain. When you do, you will be given two options: Create a new web site using html, or use a pre-built pattern that they’ll show you how to make.

Step 2: Once you’ve made your choice and downloaded the file, open it using your FTP client. Once you’re there, you’ll need to upload the files to your new web server.

Step 3: Enter the URL for your new site. You can enter the URL using either a) the old reliable domain name, or b) your current domain name plus the “.com” extension. It is important that you enter the URL using the same extension as your current domain name. If you don’t, you will get an error when you submit the details.

Step 4: On the other hand, if you have purchased a SSL certificate and you want to display the VeriSign logo on your website, you can do so by entering the URL of your store.

Step 5: When you’re ready to sell your stuff, you need to set up the shop and order the SSL certificate from VeriSign. This will give you the SSL certificate you ordered and you’ll be able to sell immediately.

On your next visit, you can rescan the domain name with your new VeriSign certificate. When you complete the process, you’ll see a message saying VeriSign has placed an SSL Obligation on your behalf.

What Does VeriSign SSL Obligation entail?

Each domain you own on the VeriSign SSL service will be released to you as a trust offering, meaning that you have reserved the domain name and now it’s simply a matter of setting up your contact details and your website address. Once you’ve done that, VeriSign will begin displaying the VeriSign seal on your website.

What’s more, each domain you own will be marker to visitors of all your operated websites. If you own several websites, each one will be listed on the page. When someone visits your site, they will see if they can access your other websites from the current page. If not, they will be taken to your main page.

This is a powerful way to increase your reach and visitors will feel comfortable with your site. You can also include company information in your site pages such as contact details and a brief description of the company. This allows visitors to touch base with your company without having to spend time on your site.
