Computer Security – Being Aware Of Malicious Software That Infects Your Computer

Is your computer infected with malicious software? Has your computer been taken over by a virus? Are you looking for ways to scan your computer and delete the dangerous malware that is infecting it? You are not alone. There are millions of people in the world that are also looking for ways to remove these dangerous programs and today, I’m going to tell you how to do it.

So, what can be done about it?

Basically, you can ignore these malware programs if you want and just try to ignore them and the viruses will just beat you up little by little. However, you can attempt to fight back and get rid of these viruses. Just like how you would take care of a naked mole rat, you would want to do the same for these threats.

There are many ways to tell if you have a virus infection on your computer. Here are some of them:

1) Cold calling.

If you receive a call from a company that is offering something (anything), hang up. This is one of the more common methods that viruses use to infect computers.

2) Sudden change in your computer’s performance

This is one of the most obvious signs that you have a virus. Performance is just not the same no matter what type of task you are doing.

3)iling and slow down.

Have you noticed how your computer seems to run just slower and slower? If it is taking longer to open files or processes, you are infected.

4) Blocking of your system

You may think that you are just missing one or two files. But, no. It is nothing like that. They are actually programs that are trying to install themselves on your computer.

5) Slower typing of passwords

Just like your immune system, your computer’s security system should be running on automatic. That means that whenever you start your computer, it should automatically do several things such as installing new security programs and firewalls etc.

However, now that you have numerous programs that are trying to run on your computer, the slipping up is more likely to happen. If you are using Microsoft programs, such as windows 98 or ME, anything that you type will be executed and decoded by the machine. This means that if you have any keyloggers or any type of external devices, they can easily pick it up.

The easy thing to do is save all of your important files in a floppy disk or some other media. Then, one day, you say to yourself, “I’m getting a bit old for this”, or “this won’t take that long”, and you throw away the disk.

What I am suggesting now is that instead of discarding that old computer disk, why not take a look at the things that you have saved on? Why not take a look at your registry files, which are still working perfectly fine despite being over a decade old, and corrupt them? Why not just take a look at all of the programs that are running that were created before your computer even existed?

After all, it was not just the Internet that changed your life, it was technology that evolved pretty significantly as well. Why not look at what is running on your computer – it might just be that it is the computer itself that needs a little TLC.

Tighten up the things that are not secure.

These are the things that you will be able to do with your computer once it is infected by a virus:

* Delete files

* Locate files that are accessible

* Remove hidden files

* Remove corrupted files

* Get rid of duplicate files

* Make the system usable again

Track Delete is one such program

Hackers are using other viruses to jump from one computer to another one. Most of the time, the process is executed in stealth. The user is not alerted that their computer has been infected until some strange things happen. Users can’t surf the web, cannot open their files, cannot open programs, and cannot uninstall anything. All these activities are inhibited because the computer has been infected by a virus.

Uninstall programs are also inhibited because the virus has disabled the operating system’s auto-run feature. You cannot manually run a virus-free computer – quite a nuisance, isn’t it?

Make sure that your anti-virus software is updated

There are some anti-virus programs that are updated automatically. That way, you know that your computer is always protected against new and emerging threats. But that is not all. The best anti-virus programs also have a scanning function that allows you to monitor your computer’s security against viruses. It is a good idea to test some antivirus programs before buying them. You can download computer virus removal programs at any of the genuine software sites.
